"Yesterday's tip talked about using mirrors to reflect creativity and clear thinking into your life while today is termed 'Compliment Your Mirror Day.' So adding appreciation for all that this accessory can accomplish is warranted. Now let's see how they can address the old 'too close for comfort' issues that some nearby structures can present. If your home or the building you work in is positioned close to another structure, (especially, says Feng Shui, a taller one) then you can potentially begin to experience feelings of oppression or even victimization. The solution to this pressing situation is to hang a concave (curves inward) mirror on the wall of the building you live or work in facing either the nearest larger building or even the rooftop closest to the other opposing architecture. The mirror should face that building. Placing the same sort of mirror on your own roof can also alleviate feelings of unease or oppression while providing a newfound sense of freedom. And really, could there be any better month to embrace a newfound sense of freedom? You'll see that there's really no need to ask that Mirror, Mirror on the wall who's the free-est one of all! It's YOU!"

"Today marks the halfway point of 2009! Where is this year going in such a big hurry anyway? So let's go over at least three things that you should have already done inside your space. First, put something red and flowering outside of your front door to the left as you look at it from the street. This brings big fortune and luck into the house. If you can't put a plant there, then make a red dot with paint or nail polish on the left door jam at eye level. Or move 27 things around your house. This is the Feng Shui gold standard for bringing in fresh energies and sterling opportunities. It doesn't need to be expansive, and can be as simple as putting the salt shaker where the pepper is and vice versa. Or move your bed an inch to the right or left. Speaking of your bed, place a mirror between your mattress and the box spring under where your heart rests while you're sleeping. Each morning for nine days straight, take the mirror out, blow your breath on it, then wipe it clear. Now place the mirror back into the same space and do this again the next day. This promises enhanced clarity, clear-headed thinking and a big boost to your creativity, all welcome things as we embark on the second half of the last year of this decade. Now there's a mouthful, eh?"

"Three cheers for the red, the white and most especially for the plump, delicious blueberry. During a month devoted to this all-natural immune booster, we lift a glass of red or white to the beauty of this berry. Introduced by the Native Americans, the blueberry is believed to imbue the eater with almost magical defenses against an array of physical and psychic ailments. But bigger benefits can be found in the 'Ellen arsenal' too. For instance, it's long been believed by Indian cultures that placing a bunch of blueberries under your welcome mat keeps undesirables away from your property. Personal property protection from Big Blue. And we know that eating a bunch on a daily basis will help to keep the doctor away as well. If you're feeling stressed or in any way 'under attack,' eat a bowl of blueberries to quickly and easily bring balance back. It's a magically delicious way to de-stress courtesy your loving Mother, Nature! Thanks Ma!"
